Selection Procedure
Post the declaration of Phase 1 results, the candidates who cleared the online test (Phase 1) will be able to see their names on the official website. the applicants will be allotted with new admit card for the Phase 2 exam: ‘Physical Fitness Test (PFT)’ which will contain the following tasks:
- 1.6 Km run to be completed within 06 minutes 30 seconds.
- 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups and 20 Squats within the stipulated time frame.
After clearing the PFT round, the applicants shortlisted for the ‘Medical Examination’ have to reach Medical Boarding Centre on the scheduled date. The medical examination shall be conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards and policy in vogue on the subject issue.
Candidates declared medically unfit can avail of the option for ‘Appeal Medical Board’ (AMB)’ against their unfitness by depositing Rs.40 in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI through Military Receivable Order (MRO) within three working days of medical examination.

The candidates have to report to the designated MH within 5 days from referral and review the medical exam to be completed by the hospital within 14 days as per policy.
- Written Test through Common Entrance Exam (CEE): The applicants who will clear all the above stages of the selection procedure will be invited to appear for the Written Test. The details about the exam date, time & venue will be provided on the admit card. The candidates can grab their respective exam admit cards from the Rally site and Military Hospital.

Selection Procedure
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
- All the applicants must clear this test to get recruited by the Indian Navy.
- PFT will consist of a 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups.
- All the candidates undergoing this test must do all these tasks at their own risk.
- The Indian Navy will not take any responsibility in case any applicant gets injured during the test.
Medical Standards
- Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standards prescribed in current regulations applicable to sailors on entry.
- The minimum height of the applicant should be 157 cm and the weight and the minimum chest expansion should be 5 cm.
- The candidate must be in good physical and mental health, and likely to contribute to the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace as well as war conditions.
