Jamia RCA Application Process and Syllabus

How to Apply for JMI Coaching 2024-25?

If you are interested in applying for JMI Coaching for the 2024-2025 Civil Services preliminary and mains exams, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Visit the official website of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) at https://www.jmi.ac.in and look for the JMI Coaching application link. The online application will be live on 18th March 2024.
  2. Read the eligibility criteria mentioned on the website carefully before proceeding with the application process. The coaching is open only for minority, SC, ST, and female candidates.

High-Level Committee Formed to Investigate Revenue Papers of Land Acquisition in Digiana (Industrial Estate)

Govt of J&K

The government has sanctioned the formation of a High-Level Committee to address concerns regarding the revenue papers of land acquisition in Digiana (Industrial Estate) and to verify the availability of revenue records.

The committee, comprising eminent individuals from various departments, has been tasked with investigating the matter thoroughly and providing recommendations for further action. The members of the committee include:

  1. Divisional Commissioner, Jammu
  2. Deputy Commissioner, Jammu
  3. Managing Director, J&K SIDCO/SICOP
  4. Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu
  5. General Manager, District Industries Centre, Jammu
  6. Representative from the Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs (not below the rank of Additional Secretary)
  7. Any other member to be co-opted by the Committee, as may be required.

The Terms of Reference for the committee have been outlined, with a focus on scrutinizing the revenue papers of land acquisition and verifying the availability of relevant records from the archives.

The committee will submit its findings and recommendations to the government, which will then determine the appropriate course of action.

This move reflects the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in matters related to land acquisition and revenue records. It is expected that the committee’s investigation will shed light on any discrepancies and pave the way for corrective measures to be implemented.

JK Govt Announces Transfers and Postings Across Various Departments

In a recent Government Order (No.776-JK(GAD) of 2024) dated March 5, 2024, several transfers and postings have been announced across different administrative positions, effective immediately. The move aims to streamline administrative functions and enhance operational efficiency. Here are the key appointments:

  1. Ms. Rifat Aftab Qureshi: Transferred from Joint Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir, to Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority, Wullar-Manasbal.
  2. Dr. Tahir Firdous Dutta: Moved from Additional Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department, to Additional Commissioner (Central) in the office of Financial Commissioner (Revenue).
  3. Ms. Deepika Rana: Shifted from Additional Secretary to the Government, Department of Forest, Ecology, and Environment, to Chief Executive Officer, Jammu Urban Development Agency.
  4. Mr. Riyaz Ahmad Shah: Formerly Joint Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, holding additional charges, now transferred as Joint Director (Administration) in the Directorate of Rural Development, Kashmir.

J&K Secretariat to Conduct Type Test for Matriculate Orderlies/Jamadars for Junior Assistant Vacancies

The General Administration Department of Jammu and Kashmir has initiated the process of conducting a Type Test for Matriculate Orderlies/Jamadars of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service. This move aims to fill vacancies of Junior Assistants anticipated to be available under the 25% promotion quota, in accordance with the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service Recruitment Rules.

PART II (50 marks)

Guidelines for checking working knowledge of Urdu

The exam intends to check the “working knowledge of Urdu” of the candidates. The same will be tested through a Reading and a Writing test (total comprising of 50 marks in a duration of 60 Minutes), to be conducted on the same day.

The candidates belonging to ‘OM’ Category will be required to score at least 40% marks(overall) in the said exam with at least 33% marks in both Reading and Writing sections to be considered as having ‘working knowledge of Urdu’ for the purpose of this exam/qualified. The candidates belonging to other categories (except OM) are required to score at least 35% marks (overall) with at least 33% in each Section.

Reading Section – 20 Marks

Candidates would be required to answer questions each carrying one mark each out of given passages.

JKBOPEE Eligibility / Qualifications for B Tech

JKCET Applicant must:

  • be a Domicile of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh as the case may be, however in respect of Candidates of UT of Ladakh, ST certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as Domicile Certificate;
  • have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and with at least 50% marks for Open Merit Category candidates including the Children of Defense Personnel, Children of Para Military Force, Children of J&K Police Personnel and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in sports and 40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Other Socially and Educationally Backward classes;
  • be at least 17 years old on 3l December 2021.
