Global Kashmir impact : DC Kupwara directed BMOs to follow order strictly

Kupwara : Days after Global Kashmir published a news item regarding the non-availability of a sonologist at the sub-district hospital in Kupwara.

The district administration in Kupwara took a serious note and directed BMOs to follow the Chief Medical Officer’s Kupwara order strictly.

After receiving multiple complaints about the non-availability of sonologists at SDH Kupwara, patients said lack of Doctor (sonologists) pushes patients to a private clinic.

The deputy commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Sagar diofode directed BMOs to follow the senior health officer Kupwara to avoid inconvenience to general public.

The order issued by Deputy Commissioner Kupwara reads, “Apropos to the subject captioned above, you are directed to ensure the implementation of the order issued by the Chief Medical Officer, Kupwara, under endorsement no. CMOK/7507-11, dated November 30, 2022, in letter and spirit, and furnish the action taken report to this office within a week’s time.

The locals of the area told this newspaper earlier that the lack of availability of sonologists at SDH, especially on Saturday, was taking a heavy toll on patients.

They said the poor people of the faraway areas rely on this hospital, and the authorities should provide them with all the basic facilities.

The patients at this border town, have hoped the Deputy Commissioner’s order will provide them with major relief, and sonologists will be kept available to provide major relief to people.
