he Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has postponed the December 2021 term-end examinations amid spike in Covid-19 cases. The December TEE exam 2021 which was scheduled to be held from January 20 to February 23 have been postponed till further notification.

“The students are advised to keep checking the varsity’s website for examination related information and updates at frequent intervals,” IGNOU notification mentioned.

Also, the last date of submission of assignments, project reports, internship, fieldwork journal, dissertation has been extended till January 15.

IGNOU TEE will be conducted in Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) pattern for some of the Programmes including BDP/BTS/BCA/BSW, CBCS based bachelors and honors degree Programmes among others. Candidates appearing for the examination can check and download the IGNOU TEE 2021 date sheet at ignou.ac.in.

JANUARY 2022 ADMISSION CYCLE – LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION (without late fee): 31 January 2022. In a particular admission cycle, facility for fee exemption available to SC/ST students can be claimed for one programme only. If an applicant submits more than one application claiming fee exemption, all the applications shall be rejected.

Instruction to Fill Application Form Online

1. If you are a first time applicant you are advised to click the available programme tab on the homepage of the Online Admission System and select the desired programme and carefully read the details of programme including eligibility criteria, fee details, duration, etc.
2. You are also requested to download the Common Prospectus and read carefully the Rules of the University (Section 10) as mentioned in the common prospectus. You may also read sections 11,12,13,14 and 17.

1. Click on the button NEW REGISTRATION that appears in the applicant login area and fill the required registration details.
   1. Remember, while choosing your UserName it must be between 8 to 16 characters.
   2. While choosing your password it must be alphanumeric and between 8 to 16 characters long.
   3. After filling the mandatory information click the “SUBMIT” button.
   4. Your username will be instantly sent to you via e-mail and SMS.

3. If you have already registered i.e you are an existing user click the “LOGIN” button.

3. It is necessary to scan documents from your originals. Once you have uploaded the document, click the next button you will get the Form preview option. Save/Print your form for future reference.
4. Please fill up the details carefully. If you are using the services of a cybercafé to fill up your form, please make sure that details are correctly filled up and the relevant documents are uploaded as prescribed.

Registration fee, Cancellation of Admission and Refund of Fee

A non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs. 200/- (unless specified otherwise) shall be charged along with the programme fee of first semester/year at the time of admission.

If a student applies for cancellation of admission and refund of fee, the refund request will be considered as per the University policy as under:

1. Before the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs.200/-
2. Within 15 days from the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs.500/-
3. Within 30 days from the last date for submission of admission form-the fee paid will be refunded after deduction of Rs.1,000/-.
4. After 30 days from the closure of the last date-No refund will be allowed.

The University follows the credit system for offering all its Programmes. One credit is equal to 30 hours of learners study time. To earn Bachelor’s Degree, a learner has to earn 132 credits in minimum six semesters (three years) with 22 credits per semester. For earning 132 credits, a student has to study all the courses from the following
categories of courses:

1. Core Courses (CC)
2. Discipline Specific Electives (DSE)
3. Ability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (AECC)
4. Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC)

1. As per CBCS, in disciplines such as Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Physics and Zoology, where Laboratory work is compulsory, a 06 Credit Course is offered as a combination of two Courses in the same subject area: a 04 Credits Theory Course and a 02 Credits Laboratory Course. Both these courses in a given subject area of a discipline are to be taken together compulsorily.
2. Every course offered by the Mathematics discipline, which does not require Laboratory work, is a single course of 06 Credits which includes 01 Credit worth of Tutorials.
3. In the Geography discipline, some subject areas do require Laboratory works whereas, some subject areas don’t require any Laboratory work. Therefore, the Courses of the Geography discipline are of two types: Courses which require Laboratory work – Each such Course is a combination of a 04 Credits Theory Course and a 02 Credits Laboratory Course (both these are to be taken together compulsorily); and Courses which do not require Laboratory work – Each such Course is of 06 Credits and includes 01 Credit worth of Tutorials.
