Jammu and Kashmir Government Launches Fifth Phase of Back to Village Programme (B2V5)

In a bold and progressive move aimed at strengthening grassroots democracy and fostering rural development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has officially launched the “Fifth Phase of Back to Village Programme (B2V5).” This transformative initiative, under the auspices of the General Administration Department, is set to bring about significant positive change in the Union territory’s rural landscape.

A dedicated committee comprising key officials from various government departments has been constituted to oversee the successful execution of the B2V5 programme. The committee, led by Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, will work collectively to finalize the programme schedule, design engaging content, and determine the activities to be undertaken during the programme.

One of the primary goals of the B2V5 Programme is to collect precise information at the Panchayat level. This data will prove invaluable in tailoring development initiatives to meet the specific needs of individual regions. The committee will also coordinate the allocation of officers to Panchayats, ensuring a seamless flow of administrative support during the programme.

The Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj will provide essential services to the committee, ensuring the smooth functioning of the B2V5 Programme. This collaborative effort reflects the government’s unwavering commitment to empowering rural communities, bridging the urban-rural divide, and creating a more prosperous future for all residents of Jammu and Kashmir.

This initiative follows the successful implementation of previous phases of the Back to Village Programme, which have garnered widespread acclaim for their positive impact on rural development and community engagement. With the launch of the B2V5 Programme, the government aims to build on these successes and further strengthen the foundations of rural development in the region.

As the B2V5 Programme kicks into high gear, the government calls upon all stakeholders, including local communities, government officials, and non-governmental organizations, to actively participate and contribute to the success of this transformative initiative. Together, we can build a stronger, more vibrant Jammu and Kashmir, where every village thrives and every citizen prospers.
