The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has taken a significant step towards the recruitment process for the post of Sub-Inspector (Home Department). The eagerly awaited Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET) are scheduled to take place tentatively from the 2nd of December, 2023, at the Jammu and Srinagar centres. This announcement not only marks a crucial phase in the selection process but also emphasizes the Board’s commitment to transparency and fairness.

Candidates who have selected Kashmir as their preferred test center for the Sub-Inspector (Home Department) position are now being provided with an opportunity to appear for the PST/PET at the Jammu center. This flexibility aims to accommodate candidates’ preferences while ensuring the efficiency of the testing process.

In a recent notice issued by the JKSSB, candidates opting for a change in their test center from Kashmir to Jammu are required to submit their representation within three days from the date of the notice, i.e., until the 25th of November, 2023. The representation must adhere to the format provided in Annexure A to the notice. Candidates are urged to make use of the offline mode to submit their representations at the J&K Services Selection Board Office located at Zam-zam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar.

It is crucial for candidates to note that no requests for a change in the test center will be entertained beyond the specified deadline of 25th November, 2023. This firm deadline is set to ensure the smooth and timely execution of the PST/PET, allowing the Board to adhere to its testing schedule without disruptions.

The JKSSB’s decision to permit candidates to switch their test center reflects the Board’s commitment to fairness and transparency in the recruitment process.
