JKBOPEE BSc Nursing 2nd Round of Counselling 2023, Check Notification

In a significant development for aspiring nursing students, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced the commencement of the second round of counselling for B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Paramedical, and B.Sc. Technology courses for the academic year 2023-24. This follows the extension of the admission deadline to 30th November 2023, as per the Indian Nursing Council’s Notification No. 17 of 2023 dated 31st October 2023.

JKBOPEE BSc Nursing Counselling Process

The second round of counselling, also known as the Mop-Up Round, aims to fill the remaining seats in various Government and Private Colleges of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, the Board has reduced the benchmark for this round from 30 to 20 marks, allowing candidates who have secured up to 20 marks in the Common Entrance Test to participate.

JKBOPEE Counselling Important Documents Required

Candidates attending the counselling sessions are mandated to bring the following original documents:

  • Domicile certificate
  • 12th class examination marks card
  • Date of Birth (as per matriculation certificate)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Diploma for Lateral Entry Candidates (if applicable)

Procedure for Counselling

During the counselling process:

  • Candidates must report at the BOPEE offices in Jammu or Srinagar for registration and other formalities from 08:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on the scheduled day.
  • CDP candidates should bring their Priority certificates.
  • Eligible candidates should visit the official website of the Board to check the Seat Matrix before attending counselling.
  • Those who have been allotted seats in the First Round of Counselling but have not joined are also eligible for the Mop-Up Round.
