SRINAGAR – (JKYouth Newspaper) – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) has cancelled the provisional admission of a medical aspirant who secured admission to the MBBS programme at SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category for producing a fake EWS certificate.
Ms. Qurat-ul-ain, daughter of Ghulam Qadir Dar, resident of Parnewa, Budgam, uploaded a copy of the EWS certificate bearing No. TKH/2021/117 dated 16.04.2021 issued by the Tehsildar, Budgam in support of her candidature.
However, the certificate was found to be fake during the verification process. The SKIMS Medical College, Bemina forwarded the certificate to the Tehsildar, Khansahib for verification, who informed the Registrar Academic, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar that no such certificate was issued in favour of Qurat-ul-ain.
Consequently, BOPEE cancelled her provisional admission to the MBBS course and took punitive action under rules against her for furnishing fake documents. The board warned candidates to avoid indulging in such fraudulent activities and submit genuine documents -(JKYouth Newspaper)
Nothing is as it seems. The candidate is a genuine case of EWS. The report provided by the officer didn’t enquire on the lack of proper dispatch. Instead, reported it as a fake one in haste. The following enquiry report of ADC… No comments as yet but to follow in a few days.
The issue is not settled as it is a grave injustice.
