JKPSC Medical Officer Recruitment 2023: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission JKPSC released a notice for the benefit of aspirants for medical jobs in the state. The authorities released 378 posts of Medical Officers.

The posts include both fresh and backlog vacancies and are specifically for candidates belonging to the Union Territory.

JKPSC Medical Officer Recruitment Vacancies

There are a total of 378 vacancies that have been released under the post of Medical Officer in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The candidates have to apply in order to get recruited by the JKPSC for these vacant posts. There are certain reservation criteria on the basis of which the vacancies have been distributed among the Government recognised categories.

JKPSC Medical Officer Pay Scale

The candidates who will get recruited for the post of Medical Officer in the Health and Medical Education Department by the Jammu and Kasmir Public Service Commission will receive a pay scale of Level 9. The range of the salary would be Rs. 52,700 – Rs. 1,66,700. The salary had been finalized on the basis of the norms and guidelines followed by the Indian Government.

JKPSC Medical Officer Recruitment Qualification

MBBS or Possession of recognized Graduate Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the 3rd Scheduled (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indiar Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of education qualifications included in part-ll of the 3rdScheduled should fulfil the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.

Age Criteria

The age of the candidates depends on the category they belong to. There is age relaxation that has been provided to the candidates entirely on the basis of their Socially or Economically Backward class. The following age criteria have been specified by JKPSC:

Documents required for application

The candidates will have to possess certain documents in order to apply for the 378 posts of Medical Officer. Those who will not be able to furnish any of the subsequently mentioned documents will be automatically considered ineligible:

  • The domicile Certificate of the candidate proves that he/she belongs to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Secondary School Certificate or Matriculation Pass Marksheet will serve as the Date of Birth Certificate.
  • For the purpose of the ID proof, any of the following documents:
    • Aadhar Card or E-Aadhar
    • Voter ID Card
    • PAN Card
    • Driving License
    • Passport
    • Employer ID in case the candidate is employed
    • Institutional Identity Card
  • Caste or Category Certificate, only if applicable.
  • Medical Degree Certificate.
  • All the mark sheets of the various semesters or years of the Degree course.
  • Registration Certificate.
  • Internship Certificate.

Application Fee

The applicants from reserved category are required to pay the fee of Rs 1000, whereas Rs 500 is applicable to candidates from reserved category.
