The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) recently conducted the Computer Based Written Test (CBT) for the posts of Sub Inspector in the Home Department, UT Cadre. This examination was advertised via Notification No. 06 of 2021 under Item No. 668. The CBT took place from 07-12-2022 to 20-12-2022. The eagerly awaited results of this examination were finally announced through a notification numbered JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/54/2022-03 (7057013) dated 03-11-2023.
JKSSB SI Physical Test Shortlist 2023
As per the guidelines set by the Home Department, candidates shortlisted for the Physical Standard Test (PST) should be six times the total number of vacancies in each category. These selected candidates, after meeting the physical standards, will proceed to the Physical Endurance Test (PET) as per the prescribed standards.

In accordance with these guidelines, the JKSSB has released the list of candidates falling within the consideration zone for the aforementioned posts. This list, denoted as Annexure “A” in the official notification, contains the names of candidates shortlisted for appearing in PST/PET. What’s Next for JKSSB SI Candidates?
For candidates who find their names in the shortlist, it’s a moment of both relief and anticipation. However, it’s crucial to note that being called for the PST/PET does not guarantee selection. Every candidate must fulfill the remaining eligibility conditions as laid down by the board. The decision of the Board in this regard is final, and mere selection for PST/PET does not automatically confer the right to selection.
