The Kashmir University (KU) authorities on Tuesday put several administrative positions including Registrar and Director IT to advertisement. The advertisement comes days after it was reported how temporary arrangement to these posts was promoting favoritism and monopoly.
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for the below mentioned tenure based posts in the Pay level 14 (Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200), Entry Pay Rs. 1,44,200/- in various Campuses/ Departments/ Units of the University:

Note:
- The appointment to post of Registrar shall be on tenure basis for a period of three years and to the rest of the above posts for a period of five years.
- The age of the applicants should preferably be not more than 57 years for the post of Registrar & Librarian and 55 years for the rest of the above posts.

The detailed Advertisement Notice containing essential qualifications and other terms & conditions will be available from 16th January, 2023.
Sources said that the decision to advertise these posts was taken after the Vice Chancellor Dr. Neelofar Khan passed instructions to immediately advertise these posts so that the same are filled up through proper channels.
“Some officers were trying to sabotage the advertisement and get it delayed to continue with the temporary arrangement but the VC pulled up the officers and ordered that the advertisement be issued without any delay,” the sources added.
