Consequent upon the vacant seats and non-availability of candidates in the below mentioned Programmes, on-line Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to the below mentioned Diploma and Certificate Courses offered through Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir for the academic session 2021.

Mode of Selection:

The selection of a candidate for the admission to the programme shall be strictly based on
the Academic Merit of the qualifying examinations. Admissions shall be governed by the

Kashmir University exams as per schedule from 10 January 2022

It is notified for the information of all the concerned that all UG/PG/Professional examinations of Kashmir University scheduled on 10-01-2022 (Monday) will be conducted as per the schedule.

Earlier Kashmir University had postponed exam schedules for various items due to the snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir, and now KU in its recent notification updated students that Exams will be held as per schedule on 10Th of January 2022.

Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday questioned move of detaining PAGD leaders in their homes to stop them from protesting against delimitation panel draft saying that such actions go against the spirit of democracy.


“I can’t see any valid reason why the state administration should stop political parties from protesting. Isn’t right to protest intrinsic to the concept of a vibrant democracy,” he said in a series of tweets.


“Not being critical. But state administration really needs to reassess and reevaluate. Democracy is a precious relic for which thousands have laid down their lives in the last 3 decades,” he said.


“Please do not unwittingly or erroneously damage it beyond recognition,” Lone said.
He said that by stifling space for peaceful protests, the administration is inadvertently incentivizing violent form of protest.


“Non-violent mode of protest in the context of violent strife needs to facilitated not stifled. If you stop political, non-violent protests what are you incentivising by default. You are incentivising and facilitating and setting the conditions for a violent form of protest”, he added

On-Line Application forms are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to
two year B. Ed. programme, session 2021 – 23 in Private B. Ed. Colleges recognized/ likely to be
recognized by NCTE and affiliated with the University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

The candidates should have qualified Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 pattern) with 50% (General Category) and 45% (Reserved Category) marks in any discipline from the University of Kashmir or any other recognized University considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Kashmir.

The Graduate teachers under 10+2+2 scheme with minimum two years teaching experience in
Government/Government-recognized private schools are also eligible to apply for the above
Admission. The candidates having qualified Post Graduation with 50% marks (General Category) and 45% (Reserved Category) in any discipline are also eligible for admission.

Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard copy):

  • The candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Forms must submit the downloaded Form (hard copy) with the following documents in the office of Dean, College Development Council by or before 05th March, 2022 and no hard copy will be entertained thereafter;
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd year marks certificates of graduation;
  • P.G marks Certificate/s, if any;
  • Valid Category certificate, if any, as issued by the respective competent authority.
  • Office copy of the receipt obtained from the bank.

Consequent upon the vacant seats remained due to non-completion of admission formalities by some candidates, the candidates whose particulars are mentioned in the selection lists have been selected provisionally for admission to IAS/KAS Coaching Programme offered through Centre for Career Planning and Counselling purely on the basis of entrance test merit obtained by them in the Qualifying Examination. The provisionally selected candidates shall approach Centre for Career Planning and Counselling (CCPC), along with all the relevant original certificates and self-attested Xerox copies of certificates/documents to the office of the Centre for Career
Planning and Counselling compilation of admission formalities from December 30, 2021 to January 03, 2022. Any provisionally selected candidate failing to complete the admission formalities up to January 03, 2022 shall forfeit his/her right to admission.

Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard copy):

The candidates after submitting their On-Line Application Form need not to submit
hard copy and must keep Hard Copy of the Application Form with them for reference.
Fee Deposition and fee reconciliation shall be treated as Form submission.

Additional information:

The candidates must check the fee status of their Application Forms after three days
from the submission of on-line Application Form. In case, fee reconciliation is
pending, the candidate should contact the office of the Directorate of Admissions &
Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir.
