SOPORE: A 16-year-old boy killed himself on January 27, 2023 because his mother did not allow him to “play Garena Free Fire game,”. This incident happened a day after India celebrated Republic Day.
Garena Free Fire-Illuminate became a popular game after the government had earlier banned PUBG Mobile in the country.
As reported by Junaid Bhat a Photography Journalist “two brothers from Batapora, Sopore were playing Free Fire mobile game in their room for long hours and their mother scolded them for the same. One among them hanged himself and when his body reached hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors. Now further testing and police investigations are going on.“
The incident has shocked the parents community of Kashmir valley, they are now demanding Govt of India to completely eradicate the access to Free Fire Game from the Internet in India.
