Shahpora Bala, a village in Gurez deprived of Internet facilities

Due to the non-availability of mobile connectivity in the Shahpora Bala (Chorwan) area of Gurez in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district, the population in these areas is facing major inconvenience.
As the world is exploring better ways to expand internet reach and data speed through mobile networks, mobile network is still a dream for locals of Shahpora Bala, Gurez Bandipora.
Locals, including scores of students, said that a mobile tower was constructed in the nearby village on the instructions of the DC Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmad (IAS), meanwhile, both the government and administration have left Shahpora alone in the whole Gurez valley with any mobile tower.
“It is really pathetic that we are yet to get connected with Jio when the world is moving beyond 4G, we are disconnected from the whole world,” locals said.
Locals, especially students, in particular, have requested Governor Administration to kindly provide connectivity to Chorwan Bandipora and end their miseries ASAP.
