Gurez is famous for its flora and fauna, people of this area usually remain dependent on their own agricultural products.

Jammu and Kashmir Administration needs to come forward and find and better solution for the miseries being faced by people of Gurez,

people here have been demanding a Road Tunnel for very long,

I request both the Center government and J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and sanction a Road Tunnel she added.

The cost of the helicopter ticket has been kept at highly subsidized rates

at Rs 3,000 per person from Srinagar airport and at Rs 2,000 from Bandipora.

which is very high, majority of people in Gurez are daily wagers and it becomes almost impossible for them to afford air-tickets for their travel.

Furthermore, Government needs to re-think and down the air-fare for the good sake of people of Gurez.

Tourism needs to be given priority, people are ready to work with the administration and to change

the future of their motherland but at the same time government needs to come forward and

solve these important issues being faced by people of Gurez, Tulail, and Bagtore.

Degree College Gurez has No WiFi, Library, Canteen, and Playground since established

Degree College was established in 2009 with only one stream(Bachelor of Arts), since then only the college building was upgraded.

The over all population of Gurez is 40 thousand, Gurez is divided into 3 parts(Bagtore, Gurez, Tulail), College is established in Wanpora village of Gurez Valley.

Students from Bagtore and Tulail travel around 40-60 kilometers to reach college for daily classes.

those who choose science or any-other stream except Arts have to move out of Gurez to complete their graduation and further studies.

People of Gurez have been demanding other streams into the college but no one has given ear to their voices.

While Prime Minister is focusing to take India towards Digitization, Students of Degree College Gurez lack all these basic facilities like Library, Canteen, Playground and Internet.

Gurez Valley remains cut-off for 5-6 months of winter because of the heavy snowfall, Roads remain shut,

and people mostly survive on the saved food items(Rajma, Aaloo, & Dal).

Many Political leaders visited Gurez and made promises to give them proper electricity, good facilities in schools and up-gradation of College.

but the promises very empty and people survived suffering.

Now the question pops is that will government take care of these people who still have hope and call themselves the citizens of the same nation.
