Eligibility Criteria for Counselling
The first round of online counselling will be conducted for candidates who have secured up to 30 marks out of 180 marks in the Common Entrance Test. This corresponds to candidates up to Rank 7006 in the Provisional Merit List issued under Notification No. 040-BOPEE of 2023 dated 15th July 2023. Candidates are advised to double-check their details in the Provisional Merit List and report any discrepancies to the BOPEE office physically by 23rd August 2023.
Eligible candidates must participate in the online preference submission process. It’s crucial to understand the instructions provided in the e-Information Brochure available on the official website of the Board (www.jkbopee.gov.in). The process will be open from 25th August 2023 to 30th August 2023 (midnight).
Document Verification
Candidates failing to upload certain documents during the online counselling process, such as Domicile Certificate, 12th Class Marks Cards, 10th Class Marks Card, or Diploma for verifying Date of Birth, will be provisionally allowed to participate. However, they must fulfill all eligibility conditions mentioned in Notification No. 023-BOPEE of 2023 dated 18th April 2023 and submit the required documents at the time of admission, if selected.
Category-Specific Seats Allocation
For the Counselling’s second round, CDP category seats will be allotted based on priority certificates uploaded by candidates during the online application process. CDP Category candidates falling under Open Merit will be allotted seats according to their Merit and Preferences.
Seat Matrix and Fee
The Seat Matrix will be uploaded on the Board’s website a day before the Counselling’s start. Candidates should confirm the course fee details from their respective colleges before participating in the online process. A counselling fee of Rs. 1000/- is mandatory, and candidates must ensure its reflection after submission.
Importance of Valid Category Certificate
Candidates are advised to ensure the validity of their Category Certificate, issued no later than 3rd May 3023. This validity is crucial for admission and document verification.
Provisional Admission and Cancellation
Admission based on counselling preferences is provisional. Any candidate providing false/fabricated/untrue information will face cancellation and potential penalties.\
