  1. Graduation from any recognized University with at least 50% marks
  2. Six Months Certificate Course in computer application from any recognized institute.

Age:

The age of candidates as on 01.01.2019 should be:

Not below 18 years; and Not above

40 years in case of Open merit

42 years in case of Physically Challenged candidates

KU Submission of Online Application Form:

Step 1: Visit http://www.kashmiruniversity.net and Click on Jobs link. Read detailed important instructions and preview of whole process for Registration and Submission of Application Form before proceeding ahead.

Step 2: Candidate need to Register him/herself before submitting the Online Application. For Registration, Click on the Non-Teaching Jobs link. Remember the Username and Password for future reference. Use valid Email ID and mobile number during registration process.

Step 3: After successful Registration, Login into the system by using your Username and Password.

Step 4: Key in the personal details, educational qualifications, experience etc. Preview the Form, if details are correct, Click on Submit. If there is variation or you want to update, Click on Edit, make corrections, updations and then Submit. Remember, no editing or updating is allowed after the Form is submitted. Get print-out of the Application Form and note the Form No. for future reference.

Step 5: Select payment mode for depositing Application Fee (Online mode or against the Pay-in-slip). Deposit the Application Fee of Rs. 500.00, through Online mode or against the bank Pay-in-Slip generated with the Application Form in any of the branches of J&K Bank, across the country.

Candidates can submit online Application Forms at IT Centres located at Main Campus (Main Gate), North & South Campuses and IT Centres located at various Degree Colleges on KUWAN network (intranet). Candidates can also submit Application Form manually on the prescribed Form in the Recruitment Section, Main Campus, University of Kashmir, Srinagar.

Submission of Downloaded Application Form (Hard copy):

Submit a Print–out (hard copy) of the Application Form submitted Online along with the enclosures, duly numbered at right hand top margin, as per the autogenerated serial number against each entry and Online Payment Acknowledgement / Bank Pay- in-Slip, either personally deposited against Proper Receipt or through Speed Post addressed to Deputy Registrar (Recruitment), Administrative  Block,  University Campus, Hazratbal, Srinagar-190006, J&K or deposited against Proper Receipt.

Candidates sending their Application Forms by post should ensure that the envelop is super-scribed as “Application for the post of …………… Post ID ……………..

Advertisement No. ………….. dated……………………………. ” and reaches by or before the last date. Application Form received by post after the last date should be rejected summarily without any notice in this regard.

Any candidate having discrepancy in his/her particulars shall have to report along with the original marks certificates/documents to the Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir by or before 10-05-2023 upto 05:00 PM after that no claim whatsoever will be considered and selection list will be issued.

The KU Admin further said that it was shocking to see that a very less no of candidates have applied for the said courses in the University despite extending the last date to Apply from time to time.

However, the candidates who have passed their qualifying examination under Choice Based Credit System Scheme are eligible/can apply for  admission  to  the  PG Programme/s only in such subjects where he/she has earned/obtained  at  least  24 credits in Core or  Generic  Elective  Courses  at  Under-Graduation  Level.  However,  for the courses/programmes where there is open eligibility like LL.B, MA Mass Communication & Journalism, MA Library & Information Science, MA Linguistics, MA Anthropology, MA Social Work etc., the candidates having passed their qualifying examination in any discipline are eligible/can apply for admission to said programmes.

Steps to Apply for KUET PG Entrance 2023:

The candidates are advised to follow the below steps for filling of On-Line Application Forms for KUET (Kashmir University).

Step-1: Visit http://www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on Link Admissions. Read Important Instructions for Registration and Submission of Form carefully before proceeding further.

Step-2: Candidate needs to register himself/herself before submitting the Online Application Form. For Registration with the System Click on the “Register as Student”. Remember, the Username and Password for future reference.

Step-3: After successful Registration, login into the system for submitting On-line Application Form.

Enter your “Registration No.” and Click “Next”.

Step-4: Enter the required details and Upload your latest passport size Photograph and click “Next”.

Step-5: Select the desired Preferences (After last date the Preference of Campus/College selected will not be updated/changed). Click “Next”.

Step-6: If there is  any variation click  on “Previous” button, make necessary corrections  and then Click “Submit”. Get a printout of the Form and note the Form No. for future reference.

Step-7: Deposit the non-refundable “Application Fee of Rs. 250/- (including Rs. 150/- as IT Fee) and Entrance Test fee of Rs. 500/-“ i.e Rs. 750/- for one Programme and Rs. 250/- for each subsequent Programmes, through Online mode only.

Step-8: Applicant can view the Application details by providing username and password. Applicant is required to make sure that “Application Status” on application form is “Fee Received” after 3 days otherwise application will be treated as incomplete and summarily rejected.

Submission of downloaded Application Forms (Hard Copy):

Candidates need not to submit the  hard  copy  of  the  Application  Form;  however,  they  must take printout of the online  submitted  Application  Form  and  retain  it  with  themselves  for future reference.

Additional information:

  • Directorate will not check/verify the educational/category certificates etc. of the candidates at the time of appearing in the written examination and it will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to satisfy whether he/she is meeting the prescribed criterion. However, the documents will be verified at any point of time during process of Admission. The admission will be rejected if it is found that the applicant does not fulfill the eligibility criteria or has misrepresented/suppressed the information.
  • The candidates must check the status of their Application Forms after three days of its online submission. In case, the status of Application is not updated to “Fee Received” or “Fee Reconciliation is pending”, the candidate should contact the Directorate of IT & SS, University of Kashmir, along with Application Form and all other documents, within two days after the last date of submission of Application Form. Thereafter, no claim, whatsoever, will be entertained by the University.
  • Submission of Application Forms and appearance in the Entrance Test is subject to determination of eligibility for admission to the Programme by reference to the Admission Policy-2023.
  • The detailed Date Sheet for conduct of Entrance Test shall be issued separately.
  • Notification for Self Financed Seats shall be issued after  issuance  of  1st selection  list. However, only those candidates  shall  be  considered  for  admission  under  Self  Financed Seats Category, who have applied and appeared in the Entrance Test of subject concerned.

It is notified for information of all concerned that in pursuance to the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines and implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the admission to various Under-Graduate (UG) Programmes being offered through affiliated colleges of the University of Kashmir from the current session i.e. 2023 shall be made on the basis of score/merit obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

As per NTA notification for the Academic Session 2023 , CUET-UG will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) as per the following schedule given in the Table given above.

Eligibility:

  • Candidates having passed the qualifying examination (10+2) with required eligibility as depicted against each programme shall be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates whose 10+2 examination is scheduled to be conducted during March-April, 2023 are also eligible to apply for CUET-UG (2023). However, they shall be granted admission to a programme only after acquiring the requisite eligibility .

Kashmir University 5-Year BA-LL.B. Programme (Private Affiliated Law Colleges) Session-2022

Consequent upon the seats which remained vacant due to non-completion of admission formalities by some candidates, the candidates whose particulars are mentioned in the selection list appended to this notification have been selected provisionally for admission to 5-Year BA-LL.B. Programme offered at the below mentioned Private affiliated Law Colleges purely on the basis of Entrance Test Score obtained by the candidates in the Entrance Test and preference mentioned at the time of counselling.

  1. Kashmir Law College, Nowshehra;
  2. Vitasta School of Law and Humanities, Nowgam;
  3. Sopore Law College, Sopore;
  4. KCEF, Pulwama;

Important Note:-

The Principal of the concerned College shall ensure that all the selected candidates have passed their qualifying examination/ have category certificate (if selected under any reserved category) valid/issued by or before 25-07-2022 the same may be verified by the original documents/certificates of the candidate. No authority slip shall be issued to the candidate who has passed his/her qualifying examination/ having category certificate issued after 25-07-2022.

The admission of the candidates is subject to:-

  1. Production of all relevant original documents {Marks Card/s of qualifying examinations, State Subject certificate, Character, Reserved Category Certificate (wherever applicable) and Provisional certificates of the Institution last attended (if applicable)};
  2. Fulfilling of minimum required eligibility conditions to be verified by the concerned Department;
  3. Production of NOC in favour of In-Service candidates (if any) form the concerned Department;
  4. Production of an affidavit sworn in before 1st Class Magistrate stating that:
    1. I am not on rolls of any Institution;
    1. All the submitted certificates/documents are genuine;
    1. I shall strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the University in toto;
    1. I understand that in case of any misinformation or concealment of any information or indiscipline or the certificates/documents submitted by me are not genuine or incomplete in any respect, my admission to the course shall be cancelled and I shall be subjected to legal action;
    1. I submit this affidavit under free will without any pressure, compulsion, fraud or coercion.

The provisionally selected candidates shall download the Admission Form from the official website of University www.kashmiruniveristy.net and before depositing the admission fee shall have to approach alongwith all the relevant original certificates and self attested Xerox copies of certificates/documents to the Principal of the concerned College for completion of admission related formalities from 28-10-2022 upto 31-10-2022. Any provisionally selected candidate, failing to complete the admission formalities by 31-10-2022, shall forfeit his/her right to admission. The Principals of the concerned Colleges are hereby informed to kindly forward the vacancy list (if any) upto 05:15 PM on the last date prescribed for completion of admission related formalities.

Kashmir University: Entrance test notification for admission to PhD programmes – 2022 It is notified for the information of all the aspirant candidates who have already submitted online application forms for admission to Ph.D. programme in response to this office notification dated 10-05-2022 and are desirous to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted shortly in the following subjects/disciplines against resultant/available vacancies, are required to deposit *500/- through online mode only by entering form number on the University website under admission tab:

The applicants can deposit the fee up to 28th October 2022. After successful deposition of fee, a
separate notification for downloading roll number slips and conduct of Entrance Test shall be issued.

University of Kashmir counselling session for various PG programmes

It is notified for information of all candidates who have appeared in the Entrance Test and have applied for admission to PG Programmes for the session-2022 having obtained the score/points mentioned against each programme and are figuring in the merit lists of the said programmes available on the University website, that a counselling session will be conducted on 30-09-2022 form 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM in the Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir.

Any candidate failing to appear in the counseling session shall have no claim for admission even if having higher entrance test score than selected one. Moreover, candidates can obtain counseling form from the Directorate of Admissions & Competitive Examinations, University of Kashmir at the time of counselling.
