The University of Jammu has been first accredited and authorized by the UGC to conduct the SLET/SET in 1999 and continued to hold the test till 2010 after which this responsibility was handed over to the University of Kashmir by the State Government. Further, The University of Jammu has once again been accredited as the Nodal Agency of the State Government to conduct the State Eligibility Test for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh (herein referred as JKSET/LASET).by the UGC vide letter no.
