Kupwara: The revenue department in Lolab on Friday said that it has retrieved 10 kanals and 12 marlas of encroached land during an anti encroachment drive in Muqam Lolab.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, a massive anti encroachment drive was launched by the revenue department in which ‘Kahcharie’ land measuring 10 kanals and 12 marlas encroached land which was illegally occupied by the land grabbers was retrieved here on Friday. The drive was througly supervised by Tehsildar Lalpora Inam Ul Maqbool alongside with Naib Tehsildar Lalpora Syed Mohd Shafi. The move was carried out in unison with SHO Lalpora alongwith his team. The locals of the area also took part in the drive.
During the drive “Kahcharie” land measuring 10 kanals and 12 marlas were recovered from the land grabbers in Muqam Lolab”, they said in a handout received here,
The drive was appreciated by the locals of the area and later, the retrieved land was handed over to concerned panchayat committee who were also present during the drive.
