JKPSC KAS 2023 Application Form
The Application Form and instructions for filling it up will be available on the JKPSC website from 17th April 2023. Candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions and check the eligibility conditions before filling the online Application Form. The last date for filling the online Application Form along with the requisite fee (online mode only) is 16th May 2023. The last date for receipt of online applications will be the cut-off date for determining eligibility with respect to acquisition of Domicile Certificates and educational and professional qualifications. The minimum and maximum age of candidates will be reckoned with reference to 1st January, 2023.
Candidates will have the option to edit some fields in their online application form from 17th May 2023 to 19th May 2023. Candidates are not required to submit hard copies or any other documents to the Commission. It is advised to submit online applications well before the closing date to avoid any technical issues due to heavy load on the website during the closing days.
JKPSC KAS Exam Date 2023
The tentative date for the Preliminary Examination (in two sessions) is 23rd July, 2023, while the tentative date for the commencement of the Main Examination is the 2nd week of November, 2023.
The recruitment is for various posts and services including Junior Scale of J&K Administrative Service, J&K Accounts (G) Service, and J&K Police (G) Service, with a pay scale of 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of 4800 (revised to Level 8 – 47600-151100). The total number of vacancies and the category-wise breakup are 75, with reservation for different categories as per the government rules.
JKPSC KAS Eligibility 2023
The eligibility conditions for candidates include being a domicile of UT of J&K and holding a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University in India or from a Foreign University declared by the Government in consultation with the Commission to be equivalent to a degree of a recognized University. Candidates who have appeared in the bachelor’s degree examination must provide proof that they have appeared fully in the required examination on or before the last date for filling/submission of Application Form for Preliminary Examination, and have qualified the said Examination at the time of filing up the online Application Form for the Main Examination.
Candidates who have passed the final professional M.B.B.S or any other Medical Examination but have not completed their internship by the time of submission of their applications for the Combined Competitive (Main) Examination, will be provisionally admitted to the Examination provided they submit a copy of certificate from the concerned authority of the University/Institution that they had passed the requisite final professional medical examination. Such candidates will be required to produce the original degree or a certificate from the concerned competent authority of the University/Institution that they had completed all requirements (including completion of internship) for the award of the Degree at the time of their interview.
