NEET Qualifying Marks for Application

With just a few days left for the release of NEET 2022 Notification and the start of the NEET Registration Process, it is important for candidates to know and be aware of the qualifying marks required to be eligible to appear for NEET 2022 Exam. The qualifying marks or percentage required by candidates appearing for NEET 2022 Exam will be notified as part of the eligibility norms for the exam. While NTA will formally notify the NEET Qualifying Marks for Application, candidates can get a tentative idea about the same.

In terms of academic qualifying, NTA prescribes the following academic requirement as eligibility criteria for NEET 2022 exam. Candidates who want to apply for NEET need to clear or should be appearing for the Class 12 / 10+2 or equivalent exam this year. In the exam, candidates should have mandatorily taken PCM – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subjects. In terms of qualifying marks required for application, NTA has prescribed different criteria for candidates of different categories i.e.

  • Unreserved – UR – 50%,
  • Reserved Categories – OBC/SC/ST – 40%,
  • People with Disabilities – PWD – 45%

NEET Qualifying Marks for Admission

Another set of qualifying criteria that candidates should keep in mind about NEET 2022 Exam is the qualifying marks required for admission to MBBS Courses. NEET 2022 being a medical entrance exam, is being held to screen candidates for admission to UG courses i.e., MBBS and BDS. Therefore, candidates who appear for it will have to score minimum qualifying marks in order to make it above the cut-offs and be considered for admission to MBBS programmes. NEET 2022 Cut-off will be finalized by the MCC – Medical Counselling Committee after the conclusion of the exam.
